The second round of the Manuscript Writing Workshop was conducted in Bishoftu, culminating in a highly productive week dedicated to developing manuscripts ready for publication. The workshop provided a focused and supportive environment that enabled participants to make substantial progress on their research outputs.
The program combined hands-on writing sessions, structured goal-setting, and close mentorship for both Master’s and PhD students. Key areas of focus included scientific writing, manuscript structure, publication ethics, and qualitative research reporting. Throughout the week, participants presented sections of their manuscripts and received intensive, constructive feedback, ensuring they left with strengthened drafts and clear, actionable guidance for journal submission.
This workshop reaffirmed a strong commitment to building research and publication capacity among researchers through structured mentorship and practical support.
Clinical Breast Examination & Patient Navigation Training – Round Two
From September 1–4, 2025, the second round of Clinical Breast Examination (CBE) and Patient Navigation Training is taking place at Monarch Park View Hotel, Addis Ababa. This vital initiative is part of an implementation mapping study focused on enhancing early breast cancer detection across Ethiopia.
The training is a collaborative effort led by the NORA Project at Addis Ababa University, in partnership with Martin Luther King University, EKC, and GIZ.
A total of 18 healthcare professionals from 12 health facilities are participating in this round, gaining hands-on experience and guidance in both clinical breast examination techniques and patient navigation strategies.
